Valentine's Day is not as fun for everybody. All those flowers and that soppy sentiment? Thanks, but no, it's not for misanthropes. However, we nonetheless manage to find love though many of us have poisonous hearts. So, if you're fortunate enough to meet a fellow traveler who shares your dislikes, you have to at least try to play the game and be respectful, or maybe even affectionate. In light of this, here are five disgusting anti-Valentine's Day gift and activity suggestions for your sweetheart, assuming she or he is a reprobate.

1. Give their name to a roach

You can name a roach after your love at the Bronx Zoo this year on Valentine's Day, which is well-known for its exotic species and for once displaying a man in a cage. Additionally, the zoo promises on its website that "Roaches are forever" and affordable. For instance, you can give a Madagascar hissing cockroach any name you choose for only $15, and you'll get a lovely certificate you can frame as proof that you're in love. Or, go all out and reserve some one-on-one time, either in person or digitally, with your dream bug. 2. Stop by a rage room

Don't punch more holes in the drywall if you and your partner are overcome with uncontrollable rage and the impulse to destroy. Instead, make plans to visit a rage room on Valentine's Day. These establishments are spread out over the nation (New York City has a lot, obviously), and they exist so you can smash up dishes and shout while you do it in (relative) safety. Furthermore, some even permit the user to bring their own smashables. And the best thing is that cleanup is not required. 3. Pick an alternate night to go out

There is no requirement that Valentine's Day should be observed on February 14. If you wait a day, there won't be as many "couples" who recently met on Tinder and are acting romantically because the calendar says they should. Moreover, the best day of the year to purchase Valentine's candy is February 15. 4. Visit the sewage treatment plant in your area

There is a simple way to find out what happens to the objects you flush down the toilet 9if you've ever wondered about it): Request a tour of the sewage or waste treatment facility in your area. In addition, most offer free tours to those who are interested. Besides, surely the sewer rats in your neighborhood would be delighted that anyone wants to see the interesting, hidden environment in which they reside, as well as amused that you'd pick Valentine's Day to do so.

5. Breakup is the best gift

People in hopeless relationships frequently put off the inevitable because they don't want to remove the band-aid right before Valentine's Day. But this is the wrong approach. Furthermore, now is the moment to evaluate if you have a connection with steely-eyed realism, and, if you find it isn't working, end it. Besides, ending a toxic relationship is the best gift you can give yourself and your soon-to-be ex.
