Kanye West is knocking on doors of other major shoe makers after Adidas severed its long-standing agreement with him due to his anti-Semitic remarks.
To the surprise of the company, the 45-year-old father of four paid an unscheduled visit to the Skechers corporate offices in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
After West's visit, Skechers reiterated in a news release that he "arrived unannounced and without invitation." Two Skechers employees took Ye and his companions from the building following a brief dialogue, the statement said, "since Ye was engaged in unauthorized recording."
Skechers had collaborated with West's ex, Kim Kardashian, 42, but the shoe company claims it has no plans to engage with the controversial "Donda" rapper.
The Greenbergs, a Jewish family, run Skechers. It's unknown if West was aware of that before coming.
"We reject all forms of hate speech, including antisemitism, and we condemn his recent divisive remarks," the statement reads. The brand's statement concluded, "The firm would like to reiterate that West arrived up unannounced and uninvited to Skechers corporate offices.
The "Power" rapper has lost business partnerships with companies like Adidas, Gap, and Balenciaga as a result of his statements, which included him threatening to go "death con 3" on Jews.
