Meta rolls out new AI assistant and studio

Image credit : Reuters Meta, the parent company of Facebook, on Wednesday unveiled a new series of AI chatbots to take on chatbots like OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google’s Bard. The new features include AI Stickers that will allow users to create new stickers for chats and stories.AI Stickers employs technology derived from Meta's open-source Llama 2 large language model and the new foundation model for image generation, Emu. Emu is an AI tool designed to transform text prompts into stickers. Meta has introduced another Meta AI, that will be a virtual assistant of WhatsApp Messenger, Instagram and the forthcoming Meta-driven Ray-Ban smart glasses along with the Quest 3 mixed reality headgear. Image credit : Reddit[/caption] The Meta AI is driven by a tailor-made model rooted in Llama 2. Additionally, it leverages Meta's collaboration with Bing for search functionality and incorporates a tool for generating images. Aside from the AI assistant Meta said it will introduce an AI studio for both coders and noncoders. It will be accessible to the users across different platforms. It will enable businesses to generate their own AI tools for promotion, marketing, and customer service, while the AI Studio is currently in alpha phase. While much of what Meta introduced is consumer-facing, there is also an enterprise pitch, said Arun Chandrasekaran, an analyst at Gartner.
