While devices with class-leading hardware and cutting-edge computational photography, such as the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, Xiaomi 12S Ultra, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, are widely regarded as the best camera smartphones available, it seems that the Google Pixel 6A is the device that the general public favors most.
YouTuber Marques Brownlee has once again conducted a thorough blind test comparison of the most well-liked camera cellphones available, as has become custom over the previous several years. The results are quite astounding. This year's test was hosted on a website rather than Twitter, which allowed for better image quality and more votes. Previous tests of this challenge were conducted on Twitter.
Hundreds of images from the standard, low-light, and portrait categories were included in the blind test. The Google Pixel 6A routinely produces the greatest photographs, according to rankings made using the ELO system. or at least, the images that the voting public found most appealing. The Asus Zenfone 9 came in last, followed by the Pixel 6A, Pixel 7 Pro, and lastly the Pixel 6A. The iPhone 14 Pro came in seventh, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra came in sixth.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Moto Edge 30 Ultra with its 200 MP camera, the Nothing Phone (1), iPhone SE (2022), OnePlus 10 Pro, and Xiaomi 12S Ultra—in that order—come out as the poorest photography smartphone of the bunch.
Since there is a lot of information to digest, it is recommended that readers view the video that is included at the end of the article. The overall pattern, however, is very consistent: users preferred the lightest photos and disliked the darkest ones. While Google has gotten praise for its handling of darker skin tones and its Real Tone technology is generally recognized as best in class, Pixels have demonstrated outstanding camera performance across the board. The outcomes of these tests support that.
Since Pixel devices have consistently performed well in prior runs of this test, empirical evidence strongly suggests that Google's Pixel series of smartphones are the best—at least exclusively in terms of visual appeal. The Pixel 6A, which typically costs less than US$400, carries on that trend in stylish fashion. What is there to dislike?
