Netflix Launched Gaming Controller For IOS Devices

image credit - mysmartprice.com Netflix is still trying to get into video games. The company just put out a controller app for iOS devices. The app is called "Netflix Game Controller," and once you connect your phone or tablet to your TV, you can use it as a gamepad. This will let you play games through Netflix's service on your TV while using your phone or tablet to handle things. For example, we don't know what games it will be able to play or how matching will work. We also don't know if or when there will be an Android app to go with this. The app's description only says that the gamepad feature is "coming soon to Netflix."

Which Games Will Netflix Release?

[caption id="attachment_190206" align="aligncenter" width="1200"]netflix image credit - about.netflix.com[/caption] Given that the company is growing as an independent game developer, this isn't a big surprise. About 70 games have been released or hosted by Netflix Games in the last two years. Some of these games are available through the standard Netflix streaming app, while others can be played on mobile devices and gaming consoles. Not only are these not random names, but games like Oxenfree II: Lost Signals have been praised by critics. The company that made Oxenfree, Night School, is now Netflix's first in-house firm. Also in the works are a new Assassin's Creed game and a copy of the mobile game LEGO: Legacy Heroes Unboxed. It's a safe bet that you should be able to play some of these games with the newly released controller app. Engadget contacted Netflix to ask if it would work and if there were plans to make it available for Android. A company representative said that the company has nothing to say right now.
