Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Series Getting Their New Update: Sooner Is Better!

A couple of weeks before, the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro debuted, and surprisingly, Samsung is rolling out the second software update for the smartwatches. Reportedly, the second update of the Galaxy watch 5 and watch 5 Pro software offers bug fixes and brings performance improvements to the wearables. Additionally, the Verizon models of the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro are the first cellular models we’ve seen to get this new update, which is available as software version R905USQU1AVH6 (Watch 5, 40mm), R915USQU1AVH6 (Watch 5, 44mm), and R925USQU1AVH6 (Watch 5 Pro).

Furthermore, as per reports, the Bluetooth models received this update over the past week. On September 13, Verizon stated that this update “provides performance improvements for your device” and nothing more. Well, it is expected that it addresses minor bugs here and there, but if you have performance issues on your shiny new Watch 5 or 5 Pro, then the process will be something else. You can check the latest update on a Galaxy Watch 5 when you’ll open the Galaxy Wear app on your phone, toggle off “Watch settings,” and then “Watch software update.” Further on that screen, there is a “Download and install” button for you to hit to check for new software. If available, you’ll be able to initiate the installation.

Meanwhile, Samsung will continue to announce updates to the Galaxy Watch 5 series. Also, it would be best if you take care that the devices featuring a temperature sensor that isn’t active yet. So, the company could release an update to activate the functionality anytime. Most importantly, note that Apple’s latest smartwatches also feature a temperature sensor so that Samsung could activate it sooner than later.
