Samsung intends to create semiconductor chips for futuristic mobile smart homes. The Korea Economic Daily reports that the company is planning to manufacture chips for domestic appliances used in self-driving cars. The construction could start well before end of this year. Home appliance chips will allow remote communication, data storage, and control of appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, cleaners, beverage dispensers, and even televisions. The chip will be a one solution for everything a smart and connected device requires. While it may be used in standalone appliances in your home, Samsung aims to include future homes as well. With self-driving cars now a real thing, Samsung envisions a future in which cars will also serve as our homes. Our cars contain everything we require for a home. Our vehicles will have expansive interiors that include all necessary appliances. You will be at home wherever you go. And the Korean company wishes to participate. Samsung will develop chips for futuristic mobile smart homes. Samsung is one of the largest semiconductor companies in the world. It manufactures chips for a wide range of products, including smartphones and computers, as well as smart homes and autonomous vehicles. Samsung announced in August that it intends to make all of its household appliances Wi-Fi and SmartThings-enabled. We may learn more about this when construction begins later this year. Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Dyson, and Haier have all joined the race to turn cars into mobile living rooms. Some businesses are creating their own innovations, while others have acquired startups in this field. According to Statista, the global household appliance industry will be worth $538.6 billion by 2024.
