While buying anything new, we get a warranty card, but how many of us remember and use it after a specific time? At the same time, many companies offer a lifetime warranty, which we need to be aware of. In addition, the products you already own may be within the warranty period, saving you trouble and money.
Let us understand a little about lifetime warranty:
A lifetime warranty has no legal or defined meaning. The manufacturer is at liberty to let the term explain itself from their perspective, and for our benefit, the T&C will be printed in unreadable size. The word means the product's lifetime and not yours, and some companies have extra curtailment on a simple term like "normal usage."
Some companies limit the lifetime warranty to a few years as they view that period as the product's shelf life. Owing to this, a lifetime warranty is limited to not more than a couple of years by many companies. Additionally, the company states that they do not compensate for wear and tear damages but only the defects during manufacturing.
And some good old companies stick to the actual meaning of the term "Lifetime Warranty." So you are lucky if you own these products that provide a lifetime warranty with no hidden terms and conditions written in an unreadable font.
