According to reports, Toyota and DOUZE Cycles will collaborate to develop a front-loading freight e-bike based on an existing design. The partnership between DOUZE Cycles, a producer of electric bicycles, and the Japanese automaker will be based on the DOUZE Hêta model. The Yamaha mid-drive engine of the electric bike, along with a 500 Wh battery rated for a 100 km range when using the pedal assist, can support up to 100 kg of freight on its forward luggage platform. A passenger bucket that can accommodate three children strapped in the front is an additional option. Recall that the automaker entered the electric vehicle market 25 years ago with the release of the first-generation Prius. The automobile has worked with DOUZE Cycles in order to implement the technology into soft and local mobility. And it's even better because DOUZE Cycles is established in France. Toyota is also well recognised for being anti-EV, which is why they have primarily invested in hybrid vehicles. This keeps the business dependent on fossil fuels. However, it appears that the business is beginning to embrace EVs as it prepares to introduce an electric bike. Additionally, the company doesn't appear to be centred on France, but they are also attempting to break into the US EV market. The electric bikes made by Aventon have been sighted in a Denver dealership. The relocation will probably also benefit from Denver's regional e-bike incentives. Peugeot is one example; it has already created its own brand of electric bikes. Another is the Spanish company SEAT, which collaborated with the company Silcence to produce seated and standing electric scooters. An internal electric bike has already been produced by General Motors (GM). Additionally, as a complement to the HUMMER EV, GM just debuted a HUMMER eBike through its licence deal. https://www.gadgetany.com/news/toyota-ceo-explains-their-future-ev-strategy-while-playing-to-win/ Jeep has also entered the market for powerful e-bikes through licence arrangements. It's not surprising that automakers are looking at electric bicycles given how common they are on the roads nowadays. Additionally, Toyota appears more committed to creating electric motors. The future? The brand might need a little more encouragement, but eventually, they might release an all-electric car.
