World’s oldest doctor, 100, has Guinness Record & a biopic movie on his name

A 100-year-old Ohio man who is on his way to becoming a TikTok celebrity set the Guinness World Record for being the oldest practicing doctor in the world. According to Guinness World Records, Dr. Howard Tucker obtained the distinction in February 2021, when he was 98 years and 231 days old. The Cleveland native will be the focus of Brooklyn filmmaker Taylor Taglianetti's upcoming documentary "What's Next." The documentarian, who is working on the project with Tucker's grandson, has made a TikTok handle where followers can watch the doctor in action. According to Cleveland.com, Tucker, a neurologist who has been in practice since 1947, still sees patients twice a week.

He told the website, "Individuals tell me, you're doing fairly good for 100, and I think to myself, how many 100-year-old people have they sampled. "I don't believe I've ever met another individual who was 100 years old. I've only ever met myself. In addition to his achievements in medicine, the clinician is a WWII Navy veteran, has a second degree in law, and served as the Chief of Neurology for the Atlantic Fleet during the Korean War. Howard also has a unique connection to New York City. He used to teach at The Neurological Institute of New York, and after she graduated, he married one of his former pupils. After having four kids, the couple relocated back to Cleveland. World’s oldest doctor, 100, is still working Sue, his wife, is still working as a psychotherapist at the age of 89 and has no plans to retire. While the COVID-19 pandemic was going on, Howard continued to go to work as usual. He caught the virus not long after turning 100, but he was still able to teach medical students about Zoom. The St. Vincent Charity Medical Center is where he currently visits patients.
