Xiaomi 13 Launches in China With Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Sony IMX800

Alongside the Xiaomi 13 Pro, the Xiaomi 13 is now available. The Xiaomi 13 comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a triple rear camera array, a 4,500 mAh battery, a dedicated telephoto camera, and IP68 certification, among other things. Xiaomi has officially fully unveiled the Xiaomi 13, but only in China for the time being. The Xiaomi 13, the company's current-generation flagship smartphone that is currently the least expensive, has many of the same features as the Xiaomi 13 Pro—possibly even more so than the Xiaomi 12 does when compared to the Xiaomi 12 Pro. [caption id="attachment_71005" align="aligncenter" width="1200"] Xiaomi[/caption] The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Qualcomm's most recent flagship chipset, is specifically used by the Xiaomi 13. The Xiaomi 13 also has LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage, however, it only has 67 W wired fast charging for its 4,500 mAh battery. In contrast, the Xiaomi 13 equals its Pro sibling in terms of IP68 dust and water resistance, 50 W wireless, and 10 W reverse wireless charging. The 32 MP front-facing sensor is the only camera that the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro share, despite both devices having four cameras. However, the main camera on the Xiaomi 13 is the Sony IMX800, another 50 MP sensor with OIS. Additionally, the device includes a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera in addition to a 10 MP telephoto camera with optical stabilization that offers 3x optical zoom. The latter appears to be devoid of autofocus and OIS capability. Nine colors are initially available for the Xiaomi 13, five of which are only available on a Limited Edition edition that is probably a Chinese exclusive. The Xiaomi 13 Limited Edition, shown in the image below, has all the same essential components as the standard model but comes in more eye-catching color schemes and only supports one memory type. The Xiaomi 13 costs the following amounts in China:

• CNY 3,999 (about $575) gets you 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
• CNY 4,299 ($618) for 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage
• CNY 4,599 ($661) gets you 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
