Leaked Online Clips of Unreleased God of War Ragnarök

Even though the release date of one of the year's greatest PlayStation games, God of War Ragnarök, isn't until November 9, YouTube and social media sites have been inundated with clips showing people playing the full game recently. Additionally, some game reviewers unintentionally revealed their photos, and while some of them hinted at upcoming events, most of them were just really attractive. However, more than a week prior to release, the entire game is already available. A retailer in the US is thought to have unintentionally begun selling copies of the game before an official launch. God of War Ragnarök Furthermore, Santa Monica Studio, the game's developers, issued a statement asking everyone to be considerate of fans who don't want the game to be spoiled and, more practically, for those fans to try and stay off much of the internet for the next week given how simple it is to stumble upon footage at the moment (some YouTube videos already received millions of views):
As we approach launch, it is important for our studio to preserve the experience of God of War Ragnarök for players who want to enjoy the game for the first time without spoilers.

We ask that you please be considerate of the many fans who do not want to accidentally see clips, gameplay, or narrative spoilers and avoid sharing them wider.

We are doing our best to limit the exposure of unsanctioned footage and screenshots, but the reality is that we cannot catch everything.

For those of you who do not want to risk seeing anything before launch, we strongly advise that you mute any keywords or hashtags associated with the game until release day.

God of War Ragnarök

We appreciate the support you’ve shown us more than we can say. We can assure you it will be worth the wait to experience the game yourself when it is released in less than two weeks on November 9th.

Thank you

What's more The God of War games are ponderous single-player adventures where witnessing the plot unfold is half the reason people are playing them, even though there is always a very productive discussion to be had about how "spoiler culture" has influenced the discussion of our favorite games, TV, and movies. If that describes you, you might want to follow Sony's suggestion and simply mute everything for the upcoming week.
