According to the firm, the Polestar 3, the third vehicle from the Swedish EV manufacturer with the fitting moniker, will be formally introduced on October 12 at a gathering in Copenhagen.  In addition, Polestar is teasing a few new facts about the all-electric SUV before the unveiling. The Polestar 3 is Polestar's entry into the fiercely competitive and highly lucrative US SUV market. It will compete with EVs like the Tesla Model X, Audi E-Tron, Mercedes-Benz EQE, Rivian R1S, and Fisker Ocean when it debuts because it will fall into the premium category. Polestar New Electric SUV Notably, the Polestar will be put together at Volvo's facility in Charleston, South Carolina, making it the brand's first electric vehicle produced in the United States. The Polestar 3 appears to be another example of the company's reputation as a performance brand. It will have a dual-motor powertrain with a dual-clutch system on the rear electric motor and a rear-biased dual-motor power train with electric torque vectoring.  The Polestar 3 will be able to transition between comfortable and firm suspension dynamics while reacting to the road conditions once every two milliseconds, thanks to adaptive dual-chamber air suspension and active dampers, which will be standard. Polestar will supply the Polestar 3 with 510 horsepower and 671 pound-feet of torque as part of an optional Performance Pack, including Polestar Engineered chassis tuning for the active dampers and air suspension. Polestar New Electric SUV Additionally, Polestar's distinctive Swedish gold accents are added, such as valve caps, seat belts, and an interior light strip that has been laser-etched. The Polestar 3 will have a dual-motor drivetrain and a sizable battery at launch, with a target range of more than 372 miles (600km). The Polestar 3 fastback sedan will have a higher ride height than the Polestar 2 and a highway driving assistance system that is mostly autonomous.  With the release of the next-generation EX90 SUV and the Polestar 3 in 2022, Volvo, which owns Polestar in partnership with its parent company Geely, has announced that it would introduce a hands-free highway driving capability as part of its Scalable Product Architecture (SPA2) platform update.
