Truth Social is now accessible on the Google Play Store

The Google Play Store now offers the social media app Truth Social, developed by former President Donald Trump. Due to "insufficient" content control standards, Google blocked the app in August. Truth Social, a social media site that resembles Twitter, bills itself as one that "encourages an open, free, and honest global discourse."  It attempted to make its app available through the Google Play Store after its initial February launch on the Apple App Store. The Google Play Store is open to apps as long as they "comply with our developer requirements, including the necessity to properly filter user-generated material and delete undesirable posts such as those that promote violence," according to a statement from Google.  Truth Social is now accessible on the Google Play Store The business continues by saying that Truth Social has consented to implement the moderation standards for user-generated content that Google demands. After issuing a restriction during the Capitol riots, Google also revived Parler, an app with a similar emphasis.
