HBO Max Will No Longer Use "HBO"

Photo Credit: HelloTech Following AT&T's purchase of Warner Bros. by Discovery, Inc. last year, the newly merged Warner Bros Discovery made a commitment to combining its streaming services. The significant modification now has a deadline and a new name for the service. Today, Warner Bros. Discovery revealed that their upgraded streaming service will be branded "Max" instead of HBO, which has remained consistent since its early incarnations as HBO Go and HBO Now. Your watch lists and history won't be lost because it will be published as an update to the current HBO Max service. Not even a new app installation is necessary. You should soon receive a message outlining the migration process if you have access to HBO Max through your phone provider, cable TV provider, or another business. Reality television programs like Chopped, Ghost Adventures, Darcey & Stacey, Rock the Block, and Home Town make up the majority of that library. The Big Bang Theory-inspired comedy series, a Game of Thrones prequel, a show based on The Conjuring movies, Rick and Morty: The Anime from Adult Swim, and other new movies and television shows are among the projects Warner also revealed are now in development for Max. Warner is adding a new tier while keeping the existing pricing structure untouched. As with HBO Max today, Max will cost $9.99 per month or $99 per year for the ad-supported plan and $15.99 per month or $149.99 per year for the ad-free version. For $19.99/month or $199.99/year, there will be a new "Ultimate Ad-Free" subscription that adds the option to stream content in 4K and Dolby Atomos (for supported content) as well as streaming on four screens simultaneously. HBO Max does, however, theoretically offer 4K on the existing more affordable plans. According to the announcement, in addition to content like Game of Thrones, The Last of Us, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Dark Knight Trilogy, and others, "all Warner Bros. movies released this year and going forward will also be available in 4K UHD when they arrive on Max following their theatrical windows."
